Westlake Village Inn was such a gorgeous place to have Jennifer & Sereyrith’s engagement session – here are just a few of my favorites of them. :)

Melinda is a friend from MIDDLE SCHOOL and had asked me to photograph her engagement party. We’ve been out of touch with each other for years but I instantly saw how happy she was with her husband and stepson – to-be. She also mentioned that Paul would be meeting her family for the first time – so it was wonderful to see the emotion behind this.

I have to say I was really lucky to be here – not only to be a part of some really good food but to see how happy Melinda and Paul were together.

A belated birthday present:

One of Paul’s close friends – I love his face when he laughs:

Yummy, yummy:

What’s a party without snow-cones?

The silly face is much better :)

The gorgeous bride and her beautiful bridesmaids:

Congrats guys!

It was such a pleasure working with Grace & Stephen for their engagement session. We ended up trekking all around historic San Juan Capistrano. I so love it when my couples bring so much energy and are willing to try anything I ask them – In our case, this involved sitting in some pretty itchy weeds. ;)

This blog post is long overdue. I have not updated for a MONTH! not for the lack of anything to post – but because I’ve been so busy! Here are my favorites from my session from Nancy and Chris’ engagement session in Malibu. I love couples who are full of laughs throughout our session – makes my job so much easier! I’m excited to photograph their wedding later this year… in NEW JERSEY! :)

Since we were rained out of our session in Julian, here is Part II of Sovirya & Sope’s three year anniversary session at Paramount Ranch. One of the things that I love about Sovirya and Sope is that Sovirya styles both of them so perfectly for our session location. I loved photographing at Paramount Ranch too – which happens to be a Western movie set.

I have been having the worst luck with rain as Evelyn and Joe’s Anniversary Session also got rained out. I met Evelyn & Joe when we met for a consultation for their wedding two years ago. They brought their dog, Arial, who is the sweetest dog. So, it was such a pleasure to see everyone again along with their newest addition, Maggie.

Congratulations to Sovirya and Sope who have been now married for 3 years! I had the privilege of photographing their engagement session and their wedding so it was like meeting up with old friends again when we  photographed their anniversary session. Unfortunately, we relied a little too much on wonderful Southern California weather and it ended up raining on us. I think we would have all kept going except for the fact that it was near freezing. But stay tuned next month for our re-shoot! Let’s hope it doesn’t rain!

I’ve known Jason since high school and when he contacted me to tell me he was engaged, I couldn’t be more delighted for him. He met Anne while they were undergraduates at UCI so we thought it would be a great location for their engagement session. Too bad we weren’t able to photograph at the Langham Hotel since that it where he proposed!

Laurice and Ben LOVE Disneyland and have had season passes for a number of years. So of course, there was no other location more perfect than Disneyland to photograph their engagement session. As we continued during our shoot, Ben would tell me different Disneyland facts and trivia and I was sincerely impressed. Embarrassingly enough, I called Thunder Mountain – “Thunderdome.” They must have thought I was such a big dummy. At the end of our session, they gave me a Tinkerbell pin which now serves as my photography good luck charm.

My son woke us at at 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning so what better thing to do than to blog! For Joy and Daryle, we headed down to the Mission San Juan Capistrano and then the surrounding area where I learned that these two are planning a wedding in HAWAII. And you know we’ve had a successful engagement session when everybody’s feet hurt by the end of the day. ;)
